Inspiration can come at you when you least expect it. That isn't to say that every time I get together with Steve Garfield I'm not inspired in some way because he has that effect on people. If you don't believe me just watch his 27 People One Question to see what I mean. But, last night after we munched on noodles and dumplings at Wagamama in Harvard Square (my first time and I will certainly go back!) something kicked my brain into gear.
Most of you know that I've always wanted to write a book. I've got so much I want to say and people seem to like my thoughts so I'd love to have them put together in a book. Plus, it's one of my life goals to have a hard cover book with my name on it and I've had that goal as long as I can remember. When I was little I always imagined it would be fiction, but now who knows.
For some reason during the conversation with Steve about life, dumplings and the amazing year that 2009 has already been a new idea started to peculate in my gray matter.
I've got to noodle on it some more (bad pun I know) and see if I like this approach or not. Then I guess the next step is to write up a book proposal and see if anyone else is interested in the idea. That is how it works right?
Steve took the picture shown here of me and I took this one of him that I really like. It was a great last minute dinner.
