The Leftovers
I'll always consume more than I create.
It is why I read, watch and listen almost all of the time.
This morning I watched the second episode of The Leftovers, the newest series on HBO.
It is a tough show. There is no other way to put it.
I'm starting to realize that watching it first thing on Monday mornings, as I've done the last two weeks is not the best idea.
This show is dark, challenging and emotionally hard for me to watch. You don't know what is going on yet and each of the characters is dealing with their own demons.
Can you imagine if one afternoon two percent of the world disappeared? Poof, gone. No reason. No sense. Just gone.
I haven't figured out if I like the show yet or not, but it intrigues a side of me that I can't fully express.
After watching it, I always find myself in a funk for a few hours until I shake it off and push forward. I can only imagine what would happen if I watched it live on Sunday nights before going to bed. That wouldn't be good.
Check out the show if you can. I don't believe this is one you'll want to binge watch because it isn't full of cliff hangers (yet) and all of that dark emotion at once might not be good for you.
