I'm writing this from the kitchen table of my in-laws. The kids are in the basement with their cousins goofing off, Laura just went up to bed and the rest of the family is watching The Sound of Music on the television. While the holiday weekend is winding down, it has been a great time.

All of the people in this photo were in one little house along with three dogs. While it may seem like a recipe for a disaster, in fact it was anything but that.

This was the first time since 2004 that we've been all together and it felt great. I had a niece (the little one asleep in the photo) that I had never even met. It was a Christmas filled with old traditions and perhaps some new ones. Tacos for dinner, pop tarts for breakfast and Peking Duck for lunch. It was great all around.

If you don't know I'm a big time family guy. I LOVE spending time with people like this and throw in the fact that it was Christmas and it makes it even more special. I'm smiling just thinking about it.
