Energetic Morning

I did something this morning that I hadn't done in a while. I commuted to work. Heck, I even carpooled with Laura since we were headed in the same direction. It was a nice change to the morning and for a Thursday things are rolling along rather nice. Last night I was part of a segment on Fox 25 News about the changes in customer service. You can watch it here. It is always interesting when you get interviewed for 20 minutes and then two quotes are used. I always worry which pieces they will decide on using. After doing this once, you never look at news or interviews the same way again. I thought the piece was an interesting angle on it all. The only part that I didn't like was that they referenced my experience as "an online blog" when in reality it was Twitter. If you are curious to know more, I did a podcast about it here.

I also woke up this morning to an article that Scott Sigler wrote about the True Blood campaign that The Advance Guard is a part of. Reading his thoughts about viral marketing campaigns raises some interesting points. I don't agree with them all, but anyone looking to do a campaign in this space should take to heart what he said. I'm going to collect my thoughts on it all and write a post or podcast shortly.

It feels fun and invigorating to be in an office right now. Just the hum of people and the activity of it all is something that I don't get when working out of a home office.
