Happy Thanksgiving
Today is a day to be with friends and family and to look back and reflect on what we are thankful for. In my world this also means baking pies last night and then today doing all the cooking for the meal. It means wine, beer and lots of football. Family members having fun. Kids watching the parade. It means flipping to watch bits and pieces of "A Christmas Story" since it is on for 24 straight hours today. It means all of that.
I always get thinking about what I'm thankful for because before we eat we always go around and ask someone to say something they are thankful for.
I'm most thankful this year for the amazing and supportive family I have. It starts right here under the roof with my loving wife and kids who have made this year of transition and growth possible. Then it stretches out to anyone reading this. Social Media to me does mean connections with real people who can help, support and cheer you on and that I have found. You've made this last year possible too.
As Allison Crowe's Tidings album fills my ears with holiday joy I can't help but smile.
I'm very happy and thankful right now.
